About

A Taipei practice that treats financial risk as something you can inspect

AI ApplicationDev grew from fieldwork with manufacturers, trading houses, and service groups that needed risk language their boards would actually read.

Why we exist

Too many risk conversations stay abstract. We started this practice to put auditors in the room with the ledgers, aging reports, and approval trails that show where money actually sticks or slips. Our home base is Taipei; our work follows the entities our clients operate across Taiwan.

We are not a statutory audit firm chasing every listed mandate. We specialize in financial risk assessment audits and adjacent control and diligence work — engagements where a clear register of exposures matters more than a lengthy boilerplate letter.

How we work with clients

One engagement partner owns the relationship from scoping call to closing briefing. Field staff rotate based on industry familiarity — inventory-heavy manufacturers get different sampling priorities than commission-based trading firms. We write in plain English first, then refine terminology for boards and lenders who need formal wording.

Relationships matter in Taiwanese business culture. We keep appointments, return documents carefully, and avoid surprising process owners in front of their managers. Findings still stay honest; delivery stays respectful.

Values that show up in the workpapers

  • Evidence over impression — every rated risk cites a document, interview, or sample result.
  • Proportionate severity — we do not inflate findings to look thorough.
  • Local availability — on-site fieldwork in Taipei when records and people are here.
  • Clear next steps — remediation ideas stay within what a finance team can actually schedule.
